Our Story: How the Speedy Broz Launched the Best New Website
If you’re like us, you spend more time at the sports fields (or ice rink or pool) than at the dinner table. And it’s not cheap. We used to spend even more money online and at Amazon (and at Dick’s!) on sports gear that just ended up sitting in the dresser or closet until we eventually donated it. So frustrating. A lot of what “looked awesome” online ended up not fitting or just being trash quality.
But before we tell you more about our story, let’s introduce the Speedy Broz!
Who are the Speedy Broz?
The Speedy Broz are two brothers from Long Island, New York. They started playing baseball and football from a young age and have become pretty decent youth athletes. You can follow them on Instagram at SpeedyPetey52 and LukasHam29. (Still not sure where they got their athletic abilities—their dad is an engineer and their mom has degrees in economics and Spanish, lol).

So, Why did they start Speedy Sportz?
The Speedy Broz and their parents were tired of online sports gear that broke quickly and didn’t look as good as it did online. So they started making their own stuff. SpeedyPetey and his dad designed and built a few different net prototypes for quarterbacks. The nets available online were either poor quality, not designed for advanced QBs, or super expensive. So they made a really cool one for a fraction of the price.
LukasHam and his mom found bulk clothing suppliers who sold quality stuff and bought a heat press to put their own designs on it. They started wearing them, and their friends wanted them too. So it gave them an idea.
Why not make and sell this stuff online?
After lots of pestering, the Speedy Broz convinced their parents to start a company and sell their stuff online (their parents were hoping they’d drop the idea because it’s a lot of work and clutter around the garage). But everyone admitted it was actually a pretty great idea in the end.

Hey Mom? If We Test Out Like T-Shirts & Stuff First, Wouldn’t People Want To Buy It If We Say It’s Good?
We founded a new company: Speedy Broz, LLC. Then we figured out how to make a website and started ordering some new apparel to test out. Now our garage and living room are full of blank apparel, and we’ve got a couple of versions of QB Training Nets scattered around the yard that we are testing out.
We played around with a few website names (speedybroz.com, speedyteez.com, speedypantz.com, speedyhatz.com, speedynetz.com) and ultimately settled on SpeedySportz.com.
Then we fumbled our way around hosting domains, search-engine optimization, Google Ads, Pinterest, and all this online stuff needed to start a website (we’re sure it’s not great, but hopefully it works for you!).
While Instagram, Amazon, and Pinterest blocked the accounts we set up for various undisclosed “violations” (probably just haven’t existed long enough), we got most of our social media accounts up and running on YouTube and Facebook and X and Pinterest so we can share our story wide and far.
What Makes Speedy Sportz Special?
The biggest thing that sets us apart is that the Speedy Broz personally design, make, and test every item we sell. That’s why we are confident your young athletes will love them.
We only stock items that young athletes like them need: equipment and apparel for the elite sports athlete.
Dad is pretty decent with a camera, so he takes pics and vids of the Speedy Broz testing out the stuff and posts those pictures of the products so you can see what they really look like (not just stock photos from the wholesalers).
