Speedy Tested: Review of the Augusta Octane Shorts

When we opened the box of Augusta Octane Shorts, the Speedy Broz immediately said “I’m not wearing that.” Augusta is known for some very quality clothing, so we expected a bargain. But they are thin and cheap, and the worst sin is they don’t have pockets (admittedly, we should have seen that before ordering them!) They are very affordable, so for the right youth team they might be a good fit, but they are far from Speedy Broz material.

While we won’t be putting our Speedy brand on these shorts, since we can’t return them, we are offering them for sale at CLEARANCE pricing while they last:

Overall Rating ★☆☆☆ (Cringe)

Sizes: Youth XS through Adult 3XL

Material: 100% Polyester

Price $

With wholesale prices around $5 (depending on sizes and volume), you can find these shorts online for $5-10. This should have been our hint that they wouldn’t be the highest quality.

Value: ★★★☆

You get what you pay for, and these are cheap. From the photos and Augusta’s reputation, we though it’d be a bargain, but nope.

Fit: ★★☆☆

The length is good and they feel ok, but the waist is fairly scratchy. Plus not having pockets is a negative.

Feel: ★★☆☆

Very flimsy, thin and just feels cheap (which it is)
