Hey everyone! We just received our first big order from the wholesaler this week, and it was a mixed bag. Some items were fantastic quality at affordable prices, while others didn’t quite meet the Speedy Broz standards. If our kids won’t wear it, we can’t bring ourselves to sell it. Unfortunately, this means some items will be delayed as we search for suitable replacements. But don’t worry, the good news is that you can trust that everything you get from us will be top-notch quality without breaking the bank.
Before diving into our report on each item tested, we wanted to share some insights we’ve gained about the industry so far:
We All Buy From The Same Suppliers
All online stores source their products from the same wholesalers. In the US, S&S Activewear is the largest and they recently acquired alphabroder, the second largest.
Brand Names Don’t Mean Better Quality
Popular brands like Under Armour do offer some of their products for wholesale, but at prices almost as high as retail. While buying Under Armour ensures decent quality, some lower-priced non-brand items can be skimpy or poor quality despite good-looking stock photos. This is why our store is dedicated to sifting through the junk to find quality at affordable prices from lesser-known makers.
Adult and Youth Are Different
Adult sizes and youth sizes are often different products. This means great products might only be available in youth or adult sizes, but not both. Sometimes, what looks like the same but the actual product is actually slightly different, like a different fabric. For young athletes, this can be frustrating as they grow out of youth sizes but aren’t big enough for adult sizes. We’re committed to finding the best products that span the full size spectrum.
Material Blends and Mixes Vary a Lot
Everyone has their favorite material, but loving 100% polyester on one shirt doesn’t mean you’ll like it on another. Sometimes a 50/50 or 80/20 cotton/polyester blend is great, and other times it feels off. That’s why we’re testing these products to ensure you won’t be disappointed.
